Full Package Athletics' Iman Shumpert has been selected to play in the highly prestigious McDonald's All-American Game. Shumpert, a 6'4'' point guard from Oak Park-River Forest HS, will play collegiately at Georgia Tech University.
Shumpert, one of the top guards in the country, chose Georgia Tech over the University of North Carolina and Marquette University. Daniel Poneman of www.illinoishsbasketball.com wrote of Shumpert: "The 6-4 guard from Oak Park River Forest high school in Chicago’s west suburbs saw his recruiting stock raise drastically of late. Few players in Illinois high school basketball history, if any, have improved as rapidly as Shumpert has over this past year. The smooth 6-4 combo guard was regarded as a mid major prospect by most until this past school season, and he saw dozens of the top schools in the nation try and get involved with his recruitment this spring and summer, as he had some spectacular showings on the AAU circuit while playing with Full Package. Shumpert’s most notable performance this AAU season was at the King James Classic in Akron, Ohio, a tournament in which he led an undermanned Full Package team to some big wins, and had some great showings including a 36 point game against the highly touted Georgia Stars."
The McDonald's All-American Game, which each year attracts the top 24 players from around the nation, will be played March 26th at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, WI.
This is the second consecutive year that Full Package has had a player in its' program selected to the McDonald's All-American Game. Last year, 6'5" Amy Jaeschke of New Trier HS, was selected to play in the girls' All-American Game.

The purpose of the Full Package Elite Travel Teams is to give our athletes proper skills training for maximum development on a nearly year-round basis. Beyond winning games, FPA’s main objective with our club teams is skill development: to best prepare players for future success.
Each athlete will have the opportunity to fundraise to pay for their team fee as well as future Full Package camps and clinics. Fundraising options include a raffle and participation in a shoot-a-thon will also be available for players wishing to raise money to fund their travel team expense.
The teams will practice twice a week in March, April and May. The teams will compete in five tournaments over that period of time as well. Practices will last an hour and a half with an emphasis on skill training and game-play development.
